South Western Railway (SWR) are pleased to be an official partner of Non-League Day.

We’re delighted that an initiative started by one of our colleagues has become such an important event for community-run and supported football teams both in this country and overseas.

Our partnership with Non League Day

We began our partnership in 2024, by promoting fixtures that were just a short walk from the stations on our network. Train travel is the greenest and most sustainable way to travel, and we highlighted 26 fixtures that fans could seamlessly travel to.

We saw fans travel with us to games including Eastleigh’s 1 – 1 draw with Hartlepool in the National League, Weymouth’s 4 – 1 win over Havant & Waterlooville in the National League South, and Sholing’s 3 – 0 win at Poole Town in the Southern League Premier Division, to name but a few.

We are always looking for new and innovative ways to support the communities that our network serves, and Non-League Day is an ideal opportunity to remind people that not only are most non-league clubs essential parts of their local communities, but that travelling to games by train is the best way of getting there.

This year, we’re looking forward to seeing fans travel to the likes of AFC Totton v Whitchurch United, Egham Town v Virginia Water and Brockenhurst v AFC Portchester.

We hope that, whichever team you are supporting on Non-League Day 2025, you have a great day out – no matter what the result. Don’t forget to share your photos with us on X by tagging @SW_Help!
